PlayRight is pleased to announce that it has been selected into the suite of WALGA preferred suppliers - forsupplying and installation of playground equipment and inspection and testing of playground equipment
2008 - 2011.
Do you need to tender when using a WALGA Preferred Supplier? Preferred Supplier Contracts are established to aggregate the purchasing power of Local Government and deliver both price savings and administrative efficiencies to the sector. While in most cases Local Governments are required to tender for any supplies or contracts over $100,000 in value, there is a regulatory exemption that applies to WALGA Preferred Supplier contracts. Under the Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996 11 (2)(b), members can access the WALGA suite of Preferred Supplier Contracts without the need to independently tender, irrespective of the value of purchase. Prior to tendering it is worth checking with WALGA to see if your suppliers are under the management of an existing Local Government Preferred Supplier Agreement. If so, the supply will be available for direct access, under a volume aggregated price plan, that is likely to be cheaper than a tendered price, and your organisation will also save the significant costs and risks of tendering.
Playground Auditor Forms/Checklists and annual subscription to PlayRight Standards updates are now available. Accredited playground inspectors can now easily identify non-compliance and potential playground hazards using these forms. Exclusive to Local Government. Did you know Standards Australia released AS4685 Amendments in 2006 & 2008? Let us keep you up-to-date.
